Local Real Estate Agencies Merge

A year and a half ago, J.R. Siwicki had an idea to make his Water Mill real estate agency more competitive in a market which is evolving more and more into a “Hamptons wide” – even an “East End wide” market. His idea was to combine a cluster of independent agencies in various local markets to make a larger agency with a broader reach. He invited many agencies to consider the idea. Most opted out, but four agencies hung in there at weekly organization meetings. This month the new Hamptons realty Group has been announced. The new corporation has four principal owners, and the job of President will be rotating, starting with Siwicki.
