A million dollars buys a fairly standard home by Hamptons standards, where the meaning of luxury has taken on a whole new meaning. There was a time when luxury amenities such as heated pools, Jacuzzis, spas and saunas wowed East End buyers. Today, those same things would be considered standard features and, in the luxury market, buyers look for amenities far more unique. They now look for home theatres, entertainment and recreational areas and private baths in most every bedroom. J.R Siwicki, principal broker of Hamptons Realty Group’s Water Mill office, says, “Buyers are increasingly requesting that each bedroom have its own bath.”
